My Hamlet Joenkhar

With the crack of dawn, the sincere sunbeams hung over my head intruding through the windowsill next to my timeworn wooden bed. The lip-smacking aroma from the kitchen is where mom was busy preparing rice whereas dad was busily involved in invocating morning prayers.

The gentle gust from the west distorted oval shaped cobweb scattering a group of spiders towards many course that diverted my attention in four direction in depth of how beautifully nestled my village at the foothills of Yumzangmo mountain in the north, sided by cool water flowing calmly through lush green forests in the east, to the far west lies the home of many wildlife’s and in the south cascading Gamrichu with soothing tune of sound.

Sanctified is a small community located at the bosom of valley besieged by the cooperative denizens bound together by the pristine trust and respect amongst all. It is a genesis of peace, propelling prosperity while plummeting all the pains that breaks through every impediment to the growth of the better place like Eden above. 

Lucky are we dwelling at the height of happiness showered my late HH Rigzin Jurme Thinley alias Meme Tshong Tshongma Rinpoche who established Serdam Gonpa and converted everyone to the son of bodhisattvas by blessing the land per with Copper colored mountain. Mantras overflow the mouth with the constant virtuous duty in hand. Proud are we who are immersed in the responsible and responsive society upholding the dignity of labor in pursuit of independence and self-reliance to achieve the target of gross national happiness.

The Wrath of Preliminary Exam

Oh, Solitude! Where are the charms that sages have seen in thy face? Neither did I see nor I’m up to you notwithstanding by means of all the promising measures accessible in my small hand. 

Customarily I endured secluded on the fifth floor at the crook of the flat beneath thin window sill fronting a modest alter of Padmasambava. Supplications and aspirations obscured within the four walls to receive the worthwhile result of PE.

Heeding to a gentle gust and gawking over the sagging thangkas has spiced to my aloofness. It has fashioned a big space for my fatigued soul to sense like a fish out of water. The whole kit and caboodle seem like in fairytale at this moment. Entirely I want at this instant is to be this and that which is fair enough to escape from facing unfold of my life-changing event of 24/8 /17.

The heart is pulsating aberrantly amid a heavy downpour of tensed feelings. What if life has got a little in the store that I certainly not expected to encounter in my next phase of life? God has never failed to answer my call should it be something that I’m longing so much to embrace. Conversely, if it should take another way around and become dragger to my heart than do I have sufficient blood to bleed?

By failing to prepare indeed we are preparing to fail is what goes an old cliché. Did I actually flunk to face unforeseen scenario to be stuck at indeterminate period? What should be the ensuing

move if the story changes its course? Am I in the locus to wrestle the challenges which are going to hit me from the most unanticipated corner in one way or other? Will the atmosphere be alike as usual? What should be my rejoinder for the first cell phone ring from my dad, mom, and so forth? Did I muddle up somewhere on the way that has tricked me to experience this event?

Incessant and myriad questions popped up to my notice yet no answers left in the stock that spurred me to hold my fire and comprehend. Yes, time reconciles the whole shebang but one is of certain that scar will remain forever.

Physically handicapped with deficiency of alternatives, mentally destitute without an ace of solutions and psychologically deprived off with hopelessness.Aphorism is hollow because it says not bygone rule you but how can I forgo without reflecting what I did in exam, logical words are irrational as it mentions not to be the prisoner of past yet I can only be the architect of future based on past and even psychotherapists’ intelligence has got no strength that can goad me ahead since every time I tried to distract from this tautness of exam still I’m caught up in the same pool of troubles. What point is there striving to rely on those factors if you are back to square one?

Does it mean gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? Even learned men among lords and lords among learned men must comply with luck at times. It’s okay to face the challenge from cradle to grave but laurel of success comes to those who can wait but gets what hustlers left which indeed can be the turning point. Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown because when encumbered with a huge hope of everyone and trust is showered upon oneself, it is what my heart thumps at an increasing rate to bury agony. It is supposed to be hard and that hard is what makes us great. Let me put spoke in my wheel not to lose ground hitherto within the ace of defeat.

Buddha’s in all direction, at your feet I supplicate. Bless me and guide me till the end of my journey

We have acquired this precious life through the transference of various previous life, so one must develop a sense of gratefulness to it. Life comes and goes as it’s nature is never meant to be mortal. We qualified to visit this earth through the entrance of birth and need to abide by the intrinsic nature of death. Based on the cause and conditions people are born on different occasions making the day most special for each.

In present generation celebrating birthday has become some sort of trend whereby people develop kind of notion without celebrating it would be mistake and incomplete. Hence they try to mark the day making it most colorful and memorable one. Celebrating birthday has become popular to the large extent in our country too although this culture came all the way form west. Usually, it is an occidental culture that has flourished everywhere. Today we everyone celebrating their birthday pompously irrespective of culture, religion, and creed. It has become omnipotent custom - the day of celebration, the day of happiness and the day of reflection is undermined by the festive mood for most people. Many tend to forget to look back and thank god; look forward and trust God; be at present and supplicate god as it is the only reason we are standing at the moment in sound health.

It is also a day we should appreciate for past deeds and set forth to make and start whatever we do effectively  and beneficial for every sentient beings. Thank parents, teachers, friends and everyone for their limitless support on this account that you are able to complete one year round and could celebrate your birthday. Never forget to pray for everyone's longevity hereafter and wish and recite to be blessed with the same function in coming years. And always handle with harmonious balance between idealism and materialism for the celebration of our birthday.

“Miles of journey begins by a single step and faster you go lesser the distance will be,” thereby everything emerges from a minute particles and any events begins from a simple steps. From the initial phase by crawling on the ground I entered teenage and reached the stage of manhood today. However, fainter it becomes of the vision back towards initial start of my life. But out of all I can clearly picture when my mom and dad lovingly piggybacked me, every time providing delicious foods and wrapped me with soft and beautiful cloths. As a darling son I became to be a great orator to them and needless to say how they are to me as a wish full filling gem. The test of love, methods of care and deals of situation are most precious gift that I ever received from everyone. It will always remain compareless by anything under this sun against their love and care. I’m shaped with best quality of etiquette and equipped with bountiful lifelong lessons. Since then they paved my path graciously and I would always strive to never to keep any stone unturned.

There had never been any occasion which let me see my future. Anyhow I’m already through lines all over the pages of life that keeps reminding me life as flowing river down the valleys. But sadly, so far I could do nothing big in return to all the favors of my parents.

Whatsoever when graceful rays of fortune illuminates all sort of difficulties, It brightens every nooks and corner of my life descending calmness within me. That is to whom I owe hearfelt gratitude to my beloved parents and government who always followed me to pick up when I fall, guide me when I take wrong turn and correct me when I’m wrong.

Therefore, I’ve been doing and I will endure every time any circumstances that lie ahead of me. Whatever, maybe the condition, my focus would be upright to tour all the unreached places to outshine the whole world. Life like vehicle is mine who carries heavy load of duties and ever ready to achieve it. But the fact is that unless I take it in a positive and righteous manner it will nullify all the sacrifices everyone has invested in me.
